Alex is well-versed in the multifaceted state and local tax issues that impact US and non-US businesses - from large multinational enterprises to young growth companies - as well as high net worth individuals and mobile executives. He advises on a variety of matters including: tax planning and implications of acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations; special issues and structuring opportunities for non-US companies; controversy audit defense representation; tax compliance and provision calculations; and nexus and/or taxability assessment/management. Alex also helps companies increase return on investment (“ROI”) and better manage the effective tax rate through discretionary incentives, grants, and credits.
