About Alexander Wilkinson

I am a highly experienced Research Scientist with over 14 years experience in academia and commercial roles in the scientific industry. My key experiences and skills are specialising in assay development, bioanalytical methodologies and pharmaceutical formulation. Currently, I am working as Proposal Lead within the Commercial and Business Development Group at Vectura. Vectura focusses on CDMO services for inhaled therapies amongst other areas and I specialise in writing high quality scientific proposals for customers in this space, Previously to my current role, and following internal promotion, I was working as the Programme Management Office Analyst at Abingdon Health. I was involved in setting up and leading the Programme Management Office for all strategic projects across the business in order to ensure these projects are delivered on time and in full. Prior to this, I was working on developing novel lateral flow assays and being the lead scientist on multiple projects, whilst working as a Research and Development Scientist for Abingdon Health. I have a proven track record in early stage R&D, proof-of-concept and optimisation for multiple projects and workstreams over the course of my career to date. I also have many published abstracts in my field of research and I have been involved in several review papers and journal manuscripts.
