About Alexandra Bird

I am a dedicated and passionate individual currently pursuing a master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Biostatistics and Epidemiology. My commitment to improving public health stems from a belief in health equality and accessibility for all, with the goal of creating a better world for future generations, including my own children.Having obtained a bachelor's degree in Public Health, I spent nearly 13 years as a stay-at-home mom, during which I developed strong empathetic qualities and a genuine interest in understanding and learning from people's diverse stories.Driven by a desire to contribute to mental health and well-being, I currently serve as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator for the TN National Guard. In this role, I educate soldiers on suicide prevention strategies and connect them with available resources.My work ethic is a point of pride, and I am particularly fascinated by microbiology and infectious diseases. With a long-term goal of becoming an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist, I am dedicated to making meaningful contributions to public health and the understanding of infectious diseases.
