About Alexandra Brown

Hello, I'm Allie Brown :) I am a recent graduate from USD's M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and credential program. I have my preliminary Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential, and am looking to begin working as an Education Specialist this Fall 2024. Originally from Massachusetts, I have a deep appreciation for nature and travel. I have over 10 years of experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings, including; Schools, Summer Camps, Psychiatric Hospitals, Group Homes, and Substance Abuse Centers. I also have experience working in-home as a behavioral technician with children on the autism spectrum, where I provided therapeutic techniques [very mildly] influenced by ABA therapies. My passion for working with children in the special education field has led me to complete my M.Ed, where I hope to infuse my love of movement and art into my lessons with students. I believe all humans deserve to be seen and heard, and I hope to create a space where students feel comfortable showing up authentically and can foster confidence in their abilities and what they have to offer the world.
