About Alexandra Chalat

I believe in the power of unique catalysts for social change and community development. I've been working in social change for over a decade and during that time, led on projects that have included developing ESPN’s global community engagement approach, activating the International Olympic Committee's Sport for All policies, crafting SAP’s vision and implementation to be a purpose-driven sport sponsor and finding new ways BT Sport can engage younger, socially conscious fans. I've helped advise influential entities from the Holy See to the World Economic Forum and spearheaded partnerships with the likes of TIME Magazine, Barclays, Chevron, MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS, NASCAR, FIFA, Commonwealth Games Federation and the Premier League. I've ​developed purpose-driven strategies for brand giants like Unilever, Bloomberg, Virgin and Disney and been involved on various legacy projects from South Africa to London to Brazil. Currently, I am lucky to be working for Qatar Foundation (QF) and am part of an incredible team responsible for coordinating the organization’s more than 50 entities across education, research, and community development to ensure that it holistically maximizes the world’s biggest sports tournament and enables long-lasting impact. This includes addressing issues such as women and girls’ empowerment; developing volunteer programs; and developing the strategy legacy plan for Education City Stadium. We are also responsible for community building and activating Education City, QF's dynamic campus that houses sports, arts, and culture programs; delivers projects in STEAM, inclusion, literacy, and health; and leads on projects that enable progressive education, sustainability, innovation and social progress, with the aim to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030 and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In everything I do I am passionate about being a part of organizations, projects and initiatives that are truly local, and result in global impact. My work has taken me to communities in over 30 countries on six continents and enabled me to support organizations in over 150 countries worldwide, all striving to make social change in the places they live.
