I am getting ready to graduate from the MSN-FNP program at Chamberlain College of Nursing at the end of the summer. I will have completed 625 hours of practicum experience in the outpatient clinic setting. Areas of specialized practicum experience includes: multiple family practice clinics, primary care in multiple assisted-living centers (including memory-care centers), an OB/GYN outpatient clinic, and a pediatric outpatient clinic. My BSN Staff RN experience includes working in the acute care setting as a critical care nurse for 8 years. I have completed specialized programs toward my Critical-care RN position including: Continuous Renal Replacement (CRRT) certified, Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) certified, Ultrasound IV placement certified, New Staff RN Preceptor, and Charge Nurse certified. My goal is to have completed the Ohio State Board of Nursing APRN exam specializing in Family Practice by the end of the summer, and have obtained a job within my new field by the fall or the end of the year in 2021.
