I believe strongly in the power of engagement and making sure all voices are heard when change happens. This passion has led me into a role in stakeholder engagement, consultation and communication. My role requires me to develop robust engagement strategies which ensure the right stakeholders are identified, and communication is provided in an honest and transparent way. I also recognise that engagement requires not just talking, but also actively listening. Prior to this, I spent my first part of my working life in heritage, working first as an archaeologist and later a cultural heritage consultant. I retain a strong interest in the historic environment (much to family's dismay during holidays). Outside of work, I am proud to be the Leader of the Pontefract Young Archaeologists Club.
