Background

About Alexandra Lobb

I’m an agricultural economist and strategic leader with experience spanning academia, government, consulting, and agribusiness. My career began in research before moving into public policy and regulation. For the past decade before I’ve advised governments, RDCs, and agribusinesses on policy, economics, and innovation. I’ve led teams, managed projects and bottom lines, and worked alongside clients on some of the most complex challenges in the rural innovation system. What drives me is seeing change take root—whether in how industries innovate, how research is translated, or how investment is directed to deliver real-world impact. I bring together three perspectives: the analytical depth of an economist, the systems lens of a policy strategist, and the commercial acumen of someone who has grown and led in consulting. I thrive in roles with autonomy, strategic challenge, and collaboration with experts who are passionate about making systems stronger.
