Background
About Alexandra Meda
At the nexus of art, technology, social justice, and organizational transformation, I craft spaces for authentic change and innovation. For over two decades, I've guided organizations through pivotal transitions, from navigating leadership shifts to embedding equity into their core practices. As Artistic Director of Studio Luna, I lead a collective of Latinx and Women of Color artists in creating immersive theatrical experiences that challenge, heal, and catalyze social change. Our work transforms stages into laboratories for innovation and vessels for communal restoration. This artistic practice deeply informs my approach at Culture Change Lab, where I partner with organizations to co-design inclusive, sustainable systems. Whether facilitating high-stakes convenings, mediating conflict, designing innovation workshops, leading strategic planning and executive search, or producing transformative festivals, my methodology is rooted in creative problem-solving, vulnerable self-examination, and the belief that traditionally marginalized voices should not just be heard, but should lead. I've applied these principles in diverse settings - from national anti-racism initiatives to local teams reimagining their leadership models. I'm continually learning and evolving through my collaborations and client work. I've had the privilege of collaborating with visionary organizations across sectors, including Sundance Institute, Harvard ART, Disney, Yale, New York Stage & Film, Alliance of Resident Theaters New York, and Theatre Communications Group. These partnerships continually challenge me to deepen my practice and expand my understanding of how collective creativity can build more equitable, vibrant spaces for all. The core of my work is about breathing life into new possibilities. It's about the courage to dismantle what's not working, the creativity to envision alternatives, and the commitment to build something authentic and sustainable. I specialize in- Ideation and innovation workshops - Shared leadership implementation - Collaboration Training - Anti-racism and anti-oppression initiatives - Accountability & Conflict Mediation - Strategic planning and visioning - Board development and transformation - Retreat and learning experience design - Festival and Convening Facilitation & Producing My approach is unapologetically intersectional, rigorously creative, and deeply collaborative. I step into spaces where systems are breaking down, where harm has been done, where trust has eroded - and help build something new that truly breathes.
