About Alexandra Purdy

I’m a data-driven professional with a Master of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from UTSA, combining advanced certifications in Data Science and Project Management. In my current role at Schreiner University, I serve as a department of one in Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE) — managing end-to-end data projects that inform strategic planning, accreditation, compliance, and institutional growth. My day-to-day involves extracting insights from complex datasets using tools like SQL, PowerFAIDS, and Jenzabar, collaborating across departments to ensure data integrity and clarity. Whether it’s supporting reporting needs or shaping long-term institutional strategies, I thrive on turning raw data into actionable knowledge that supports student success and organizational advancement. I’m deeply committed to continuous learning and to growing within Schreiner University, where I hope to expand my impact in the areas of institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, and data-informed leadership. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the outdoors whenever I can, especially hiking in the Hill Country during the fall, playing tennis, or hitting the green for a round of golf (or even a fun game of mini-golf). I find that time spent outside helps me stay grounded, focused, and ready to tackle complex data challenges.
