About Alexandra Saivanidou

I am currently working as a Speech Engineer, developing Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) models for TOBi, Vodafone's Virtual Assistant. I also contribute to integrating Generative AI (GenAI) technologies, focusing on prompt engineering, and the continuous evolution of conversational AI systems. Alongside my role, I am completing my M.Sc. in Language Technology at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of NKUA, in collaboration with the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP /"Athena" R.C.). My thesis focuses on the automatic detection of misogyny in memes through a multimodal approach that combines text and image analysis, leveraging dataset enhancement, data augmentation, and the development of binary classifiers for real-world application in social media content moderation. My passion lies at the crossroads of Conversational AI, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Machine Learning. With hands-on experience in Python, STT/TTS systems, and dialogue design, I am driven by a dedication to creating intelligent, human-centric technologies that make a real-world impact. A lifelong learner at heart, I am committed to exploring and driving advancements in AI, tech, and language systems — continuously expanding my expertise, deepening my impact, shaping the future of Language Technology, and contributing meaningfully to inclusive tech initiatives.
