About Alexandra Shimmin

I am determined, open-minded and resilient. My degree in Sociology provides me with the tools to understand people and see situations through a wide, inclusive lens. With a passion for people, I pride myself with exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to changing circumstances. Challenges inspire me, and give me opportunities to be creative. My experience ranges from administrative to youth mentoring, leading teams and adventure travel. I have worked with diverse groups of people as well as independently. I bring leadership, energy, and perspective to the table. My current role as an administrator gives me the opportunity to support hundreds of employees as an HR function (benefits, payroll, position management) as well as the employee experience. Assisting senior leaders is another huge part of what I do. Living and working in the outdoors is my passion, fueled by my interests in tourism and travel which have led me to my current role in the ski industry.
