I quit school at 19 and trusted my gut—it changed everything. Here is my story in a nutshell: When I was 19, I made a big decision. I quit school and flew to Asia for six months. Everyone told me I was making a mistake, but I needed time to figure out what I wanted in life. When I came back, I was still lost. But then, I tried programming—and I loved it. I decided this was what I wanted to do, no matter what others thought. 🤔 People called me reckless for leaving school and thought I’d never succeed. But I didn’t let that stop me. I worked day and night to teach myself programming without any formal education. One year later, I got my first job as a junior developer at a startup. 🧭 It wasn’t easy. Convincing people to give me a shot without a degree was tough. But I believed that skills and knowledge mattered more than diplomas. I kept learning, working on projects outside of work, and pushing myself to grow. In five years, I went from junior developer to tech lead. Then, I earned the AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification Finally, in 2023, I started my own company, Atomic Wombat.
