About Alexandre Blanchet
Specialized in behavioural social science as well as in the application of quantitative methods in the social sciences, I conducted research in academia for over 10 years before moving into private sector research in January 2023. I am currently Lead Research Scientist at The Co-operators. Previously, I led a data analysis team at the CREVAJ Chair at the École nationale d'administration publique for more than four years. I also directed the public opinion component of a project on Quebecers' perceptions of social assistance recipients. My academic work was focused on social psychology and the influence of psychological factors in understanding individuals' political opinions and behaviours. My work at ÉNAP has also led me to focus on the transition to adulthood of youth who have experienced an extensive history of youth protection. My research has been published in national and international academic journals such as the Canadian Journal of Political Science, Nations and Nationalism, Frontiers in Political Science, and Children and Youth Services Review.
