About Alexandre Cournoyer

I have worked in the industry as a 3d artist for 15 plus years at a few companies. I spent the last 5 years as a Lead Artist and am now on my third project. In this time I have touched many different types and styles of games. So far my favorite is PVP, crafting this experience is really interesting and very different than PVE. I have learned much in the last years. As a 3d artist I worked in almost all positions, 3D, Level Artist, Lighter, Shader Artist, and even Level Designer so my background is pretty varied. This translated well to the Lead position as I understand the work of many departments and their dependencies. The thing that separates me from most lead artists is that I am very hands on. I like to be in the engine making sure things work the way they are supposed to. Especially making sure the work is well realised and the finer details were not missed during the hand offs. I especially like to work with Design to come up with level generation workflows and pipelines to have the most optimised production.
