About Alexandre Lamarre

Looking back at my childhood, I would argue that I was born with a passion for mathematics. Having also grown up in a bilingual environment and learning both Chinese and Japanese in school, the career path of software engineer became all too obvious when I happened to take an introductory programming course in college. I've always seen software as more than just a means to an end product; it's a form of communication. As software engineers, we communicate high level ideas through programming languages to computers. But much more importantly, I believe that good software communicates your ideas efficiently and clearly to other people. Having also worked with some of the most talented engineers at IBM & SUSE, that belief has only been reaffirmed. Currently, I've been most interested in tackling the challenges of writing efficient software for distributed environments, using Kubernetes, Go and Rust.
