About Alexandre Sainz

When I first started in Bank Of China, my superior introduced me to a philosophy that left its mark: only during hard times we find ourselves progressing and toughening ((duan4 lian4),(mo2 lian4),(zhe2 mo2)). This state of mind deeply affected me, matching the one I always believed in: only when you get yourself into uncomfortable situation you will find out what you're really capable of. I've always applied this mentality to my personal and professional life. Personal life first, as I am always looking for new challenges (be it sport, art or intellectual) and ways to break my own limitations (workouts, learning Chinese or practicing music). Professional also, as I worked in various environments: as such, I worked within a Dutch cross-border business and IP law firm, assisted a large IP counsels firm in protecting their clients interests worldwide or experienced the pressure of working within a small law firm where managing cases (business law, IP law, contract law, insolvency proceedings.) and legal grounds was my responsibility. This willpower to always strive for new challenges and my passion for China brought me to Bank Of China, where my legal background (notably regarding insolvency procedures, compliance and Data Protection) allows me to be the correspondent between the Lyon Branch and the legal team of the Paris Branch. Beyond my legal knowledge, I daily manage a portfolio of large companies (with a turnover of at least €200 M), their requests, as well as interests' calculation, financial statements' analysis and customer relationship. I'm a fluent French and English speaker, and am currently learning Chinese.
