About Alexandre Wetzel

As an optical engineer, my core expertise is in optics/photonics, with more than 5 years of experience in designing optical setups for sensing, imaging and characterization applications in both research and R&D environments. With a background in microengineering and specialization in applied optics, I also have experience in multidisciplinary fields such as computer science, microfabrication, biology, mechanics and electronics. My main interest lies especially in developing new tools, new devices or products based on optics/photonics technologies that have application e.g. in research, telecommunication or life science. I am a very social person who loves reaching goals as a team, but I am also organized and independent in my work. Following the completion of my PhD thesis at DTU Nanolab, I worked for 2 years as an Optical Engineer at NKT Photonics A/S on laser development for quantum technologies, and I am now employed at Nvidia as a Test Engineer in Photonics.
