About Alexei Munro

I have been a Primary Care Paramedic since 2011 and an Advanced Care Paramedic since 2020. My first job experience was working as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor at a local pool in St. Albert where I grew up. I really enjoyed the leadership role and helping people at the basic level, so moving to EMS felt like a natural transition. I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of different people at a lot of different stations throughout the years. I have learned so much and I am thankful for every experience I have had. I am glad to be able to now share my experiences and tricks of the trade with the new generations of employees as they navigate their way through the most rewarding and challenging career out there. Within EMS I was a part of my company’s joint safety committee where I became involved with a training presentation on Oxygen safety as well as some other safety initiatives to help ensure the safety of our employees in the workplace. I am now also a part of our company's Employee-Management Advisory Committee to help improve relations with management and frontline staff.
