About Alexia Ash

I am a director on the Modeling and Scenarios team for economics and country risk at S&P Global. I am responsible for products and bespoke projects that incorporate statistical modeling, scenario modeling, benchmarking, quantitative outputs, and ESG/climate. My particular area of expertise is taking qualitative analytical inputs and turning them into quantitative outputs, and aligning risk metrics and benchmarks. My team is expert in calibration and automation of quantified risk outputs across the political, economic, and sustainability spectrum. We work with in-house and external sources of qualitative and quantitative data to ensure our clients in the financial and corporate space can measure their risk, even when that risk is not straightforward to measure. We further model the geopolitical, climate and macroeconomic impact on economies, sectors and business for scenarios ranging from the likely to the disastrous. We are particularly interested in quantifying the impact of geopolitics, and transition risk related to climate change.
