Greetings! I am Alexia Avant, a graduate of Virginia State University possessing a B.A. in Mass Communications with a minor in Marketing. Currently open to full-time communication, public relations, event planning and social media roles within private, government, and non-profit sectors. To date, I have a combined 8+ years of experience in the public relations and event planning field. I posses top notch communication capabilities (both writing and verbal), as well as knowledge of various writing styles. Connecting and interacting with different personalities and working in teams boosts my effectiveness! Furthermore, client interaction and need assessment is also a specialty of mine, as well as a passion. Within the field of communications and event planning, adaptability is a must. This is not only a capability, but is also embedded within my DNA. I work very diligently and I pay great attention to detail.
