About Alexia Gezink

My educational background reflects a passion toward advocacy. As a student of International Development at Trent University, I had the opportunity to gain critical analytical skills, which include asking the right questions and making connections through a macro lens. My training in Government Relations at Seneca College has contributed to a comprehensive understanding of legislative action and how to effectively communicate to various audiences in order to achieve objectives. My professional experience in the administrative and legal sector has provided me the opportunity to hone a multitude of skills while working both independently and as part of a team. Individually, I prioritize matters of significance in relation to timelines and project deliverables. As part of a team, I am adaptable and skilled to observe where my time is needed in a collaborative context. I also understand the strategic importance of balancing stakeholder relations. I advocate toward clients’ needs, and am dedicated to creating an environment that supports and enhances their experience, while building long lasting rapport. I am a firm believer that each individual has the capacity to influence positive change in their communities, particularly when they lead with their heart and combine their specialized skill-set with that of their peers and mentors.
