About Alexia Prather

Hi! My name is Alexia Prather. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Educational Psychology. I also enjoy coaching girls' soccer, volleyball and softball. I have a variety of educational experiences in working in a variety of school settings from homeschool, private school, and public school in both rural, suburban and urban environments from both a volunteer as well as an educator. I did my principal internship at E.B. Comstock Middle School during Summer 2019. I hold a current teacher certification as well as the 268 instructional leadership certifications. I have a passion for education. I have laid foundational work for my dissertation on how student connections affect the achievement gap. But I am also interested in research that applies to personality types like Myers-Briggs, motivation, cultural differences, human development stages, building resiliency within students and why people do things that they do. I am looking forward to expanding my experiences and knowledge about education.
