About Alexis Grayson
Began my work life as a registered nurse in Melbourne. Gained further education in Emergency, Intensive Care and then Anaesthetics. I moved up into clinical specialist, Associate Charge and Charge Nurse, specialising in Trauma. Then decided to have a break and moved to Bali. Having my CELTA, I taught English in Bali, but also used my nursing skills, especially when the 2002 bombings occurred. After having children, we returned to Australia where I decided to complete a Bachelor of Teaching to create a work - life balance with career and children. I also reinvolved myself with Surf Lifesaving becoming a Performance Coach, Trainer/Assessor, and Patrol Captain. I now balance teaching with my lifesaving roles which keeps me busy, meeting lots of characters and was even awarded with a bravery award. So far, so good!
