Alexis is an Intermediate Interior Designer and part of the Reimagine Architects Ltd team in Edmonton. Reimagine Architects creates joyful journeys towards regenerative architecture! Her personal work philosophy is “Never be the smartest person in the room.” As she states, “You can always learn something from someone. I love to see how everyone’s different experiences shape the way they think and do work. There should always be opportunities to learn or to understand different perspectives. The Architecture and Interior design industry give us a unique opportunity to both teach, learn, listen, and express.” She believes that the design of spaces should be a collaborative process and an opportunity to create long-lasting designs. Her projects typically fall under the sectors of public/community, commercial, government, healthcare, and/or education, and she jumps at the chance to work on something unique! Alexis has a passion for 3D modelling and rendering, and has a strong background in developing design and contract documents. With a background in Interior and Architecture Technology, she has a solid understanding of the technical detailing of design. She enjoys the collaboration between consultants, thinking of multi-discipline projects as an ever evolving puzzle that is satisfying to solve! From writing RFP response, meeting with clients, hosting workshops, and there with you at the final turn-over. Her roles have included being part of the initial planning processes, taken the lead in the production of contract documents, and conducting contract administration during the construction phase. Alexis will be there to see your project though! Alexis joined the Edmonton Reimagine studio in 2022. Alexis graduated as Valedictorian in the Bachelors of Interior Design at Yorkville University in June 2021 while also working Part time at Kasian Architecture, Interior Design, and Planning Ltd. She graduated with honors in both her Interior Design Technologies (2016) and Architectural Technologies (2015) Diplomas from NAIT. She has completed her NCIDQ certification in 2024.
