About Alexis Pederson

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Social Work in December of 2018. I obtained my LSW title in January 2019. I currently work at Bar None ShelterPlus as a Youth Case Coordinator. I work with youth ages 11 to 17 who are in need of shelter placement. My role consists of general case management tasks as well as weekly person center skills sessions with youth in the ShelterPlus program. I previously worked at Minnesota Mental Health Clinics as mental health case manager for adults in Dakota County. I completed my BSSW senior practicum at Omegon Residential Treatment Center, a dual diagnosis facility for adolescents with mental illness and substance use disorder. While there I was in charge of facilitating and leading groups, assisting clients with developing and meeting their treatment outcomes, as well as case management tasks. I have worked supporting individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities at the Harry Meyering Center as a Direct Support professional since 2015. My role there included assisting clients with their daily tasks, managing financial information and daily charting, collaborating with team members to implement the individuals specific programs and procedures.
