Experienced Accountant and CPA with a demonstrated history of working in public, healthcare and resource accounting. Responsibilities have included but not limited to month-end close and reporting, including preparation of accruals and journal entries, conducting cost review meetings and preparing monthly sub-ledger, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations. Experience with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasts, training and mentoring other site accountants and review all preparations by other accountants prior to controller review, and prepare quarterly/yearly federal and state tax reporting to include 720, 5500, 1099’s and quarterly tax reconciliations. Coordinate and manage all internal and external audit requests to include data requests, analysis, sampling, and reporting. A strong understanding of the importance of presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to key stakeholders including management and Board of Directors. My skills include proficiency in accounting systems such as Pronto, Redmap, Sage 50 Accounting, ADP, and QuickBooks, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I am a confident public speaker and presenter and have experience developing financial presentations and models tailored for different stakeholders. I hold an M.S. in Accounting and a B.B.A. in Accounting, cum laude, from Texas A&M University. I maintain my current C.P.A. license in the state of Tennessee with a strong concentration on continuing education that furthers my knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial analysis.
