About Alexsys Hornsby

As a Curriculum Developer and Designer at Rosecrans Ventures, I oversee end-to-end course curriculum design of workshops that function to bridge the gap between corporate management and Gen-Z as they enter the workforce. I co-design and distribute engaging and relevant content for early-careerists via Zoom, LinkedIn, and Instagram, using my skills in user experience (UX) design, creative problem solving, and communication. I also work as a Special Education Assistant at Pacific Palisades Charter High School, where I assist 70+ students master the English 9 lessons and assignments. I monitor and track 10+ students' performance and record data to create progress reports. I re-present lesson plans and materials to students under the guidance of a lead teacher, using my skills in presentation and cross-cultural communication.My education background in Sociology from UC Berkeley has equipped me with the research and analytical skills necessary to thrive in community development and related fields. I have also completed multiple certifications in UX design and innovation from Coursera and IDEO U, enhancing my ability to create human-centered and impactful solutions. I work to create systemic and institutional change that is based in equity, wellness, community, and justice. I am a joy-enthusiast and a relationship builder who values collaboration, learning, and growth.
