About Alexus Plump

I am a Registered Nurse at Baptist Health Care, where I provide quality care to patients with various heart and brain conditions. I apply my skills and knowledge in cardiology and neurology, two of my core competencies, to monitor, assess, and treat patients, following the nursing process and evidence-based practices. I also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, technicians, and other nurses, contributing to the high standards and outcomes of the cardiac and neuro units. My passion for health care and my goal of pursuing higher education led me to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida in 2022. Before joining Baptist Health Care, I gained valuable leadership experience in the United States Navy as a Military Police and Administrative Supervisor. I also developed my customer service, client retention, and business management skills in credit card underwriting at Aerotek and account management at South Key Inc. I am currently interested in enrolling in a Doctorate of Nursing - AGACP to further advance my career and impact in the nursing field.
