About Alfonso Carrillo Cano

I am a partner at Bird & Bird in the Litigation and Insolvency department of the Madrid office. I have experience in all types of commercial disputes, especially in matters related to banking contracts, construction law, construction, real estate, complex commercial issues, directors' liability, unfair competition, challenging corporate agreements, sports law, national and international arbitration and in insolvency proceedings, advising both debtors and creditors, third parties interested in the acquisition of assets belonging to companies in insolvency, as well as insolvency administrator. I have a degree in Law from the University of Murcia, a Master's Degree in International Law from the University of Murcia and a LLM from IE Law School. I am lecturer at the Universidad Carlos in the Master's Degree Access and at the IE where I teach a matter on banking litigation. I am arbitrator at several arbitration courts, member of the Spanish Arbitration Club, CEA, and of the Spanish Insolvency Law Club, CEDI, belonging to its Board of Directors. In addition to Spanish, I am fluent in English and Italian.
