Mental Health Practitioner and Hospital Mental Health Chairperson with over 25 years of university and community teaching, training, personal and professional coaching, group leadership, departmental management, committee chairmanship, project leader, prolific writer and public speaker on topics in psychology, culture and therapy - in a variety of positions in Canada, Australia and Asia. Experienced psychotherapist dealing with a wide variety of conditions, symptoms and diagnoses, including adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, stress, suicide, crisis response, sexual issues and more, as well as helping families and relationships of all types. In addition, crisis responder (tsunami, SARS, earthquakes, airplane disasters, bombings and now, unfortunately, COVID), regular patient consultations with clients over 12 years of age with various mental health concerns. Hospital supervision of up to eight fellow practitioners and doctors, coordination with other departments such as emergency, family medicine and paediatrics; and with external community resources when appropriate.
