About Alfred Pach

Extensive experience in global health studies, qualitative and quantitative research and program implementation and management. I have worked since in a number of countries in Asia and Africa, as well as in the U.S, on studies on vaccine hesitancy and acceptance related to infectious diseases. Studies have been successful in establishing domestic and global public health programs which have both introduced vaccines and led to policy development. My work has also involved community engagement and participation, and health communication. I have organized studies and trained many teams in data collection and analysis in the partner countries where I have worked. I worked on studies on HIV/AIDS risk behavior and transmission in the U.S. and abroad from 1994-2005 Advanced degrees include a Ph.D. in Medical Anthropology, a Master of Public Health (MPH),a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Preventive Research on HIVIDS, STIs and substance abuse, and a Masters of Divinity. I received a certificate in Global Health Delivery from Harvard University. Additional on-going anthropological research on traditional healing, and ritual and possession in a Hindu village in Nepal. Working on a set of volumes on the history of spirituality in Christianity.
