Background
About Alfred Ruth
Alfred founded the video ad serving company Videoplaza back in 2007 where he was the brains and principle designer behind Videoplaza's products. Videoplaza was sold to Ooyala/Telstra in 2014. Alfred is now active as a board director, advisor and private investor in about a dozen Swedish startups. Aside from the startup coaching, Alfred is writing fiction on the topic of AI, super intelligence and automation. His first novel, part one in the trilogy about Fermis Filter, is published in September 2018.Before founding Videoplaza, Alfred had a long varied background. Running his own web consultancy business since age 15 provided Alfred with a strong managerial and technical background. Alfred later got a degree from Södertörn University, Stockholm in JMM (Journalism and Multi-Media), and had an extensive media career covering the new technology and start-up space for some of Sweden’s most high profile publications.
