About Alfreda Chelette

Each position that I have held which has ranged from a receptionist to an Office Manager, primarily in private Industry but also as an Entrepreneur working for myself providing Accounting Services. Working as a liaison between the presidents of the companies and their CPA firms or attorneys affiliated with their businesses. There are various things that need to get done in a small business and I have worked in some diverse industries and positions. Therefore I have honed my talents in Taxes, Payroll, Business Ethics and general management of an office. I have applied for numerous forms from Fish and wildlife licenses, to a license to do business in multiple states and the initial setup for doing retail and wholesale sales. There is no project too small or too large that I haven’t tackled, I am awesome at organizing a company’s records and keeping them organized to pass them onto the owners so they can maintain their Quickbook online accounts themselves. Because I have held various office positions I work well alone being task driven or I work well with others as part of a team. Currently I work at Elmhurst College doing On-Campus recruiting for Employers, and support for the Honors Program this has been a real change in industry working in a College setting. I have had to overcome some learning curves and working as part of a team of very experienced and seasoned professionals in the Center of Professional Excellence. I am part of a team and like to work with the others in my department, they have been mentors and teachers in so many ways in the less that two years I have been here. But, I still work doing tax accounting and keep my skills sharp with Continuing Education Credits required to retain my Tax practitioners standing with the IRS.
