About Alfredo Silva

I’m an outgoing and energetic educator who loves getting students moving, thinking, and growing. As Head of PE at TASIS Portugal, I’ve had the chance to teach everything from Grade 3 up to the IB Diploma SEHS course, lead sports trips across Europe, and even take students behind the scenes at Southampton FC. My approach is simple: inspire curiosity, build confidence, and encourage students to step out of their comfort zones — whether that’s mastering a new skill, competing in sport, or just finding joy in movement. I believe in teaching the “whole student,” helping them not just physically, but socially and personally, to become the best version of themselves. Alongside teaching, I’ve coached at professional clubs (Vitória SC, GD Estoril Praia) and led countless school teams and events. I thrive in connecting education with sport at every level — from grassroots fun to high-performance environments. Always open to new challenges, new ideas, and new ways to make learning active and meaningful.
