About Ali Bahrami

Dr. Bahrami is CTO and CEO of Bionous LLC, where he is chief architect and inventor of Phware that uses patent-pending 3D Photoplethysmogram (PPG) and Advanced AI to more accurately scan and non-invasively measures vital signs including blood pressure and glucose. He holds over 20 patents or pending patents in context-aware systems, information integration, machine learning, and adaptive workflow modeling, etc. Prior to establishing Bionous, he was a researcher at Boeing Research & Technology where he led the research and development of many projects including Airplane Health Management (AHM) analytic workflow to automate the process of data collection from airplane‘s sensors, feature extraction, visualization and analysis of sensor data for diagnosis and prognosis purposes. He was PI on Crowdsourcing Entity Resolution for Airplane Sensors project to develop hybrid human-machine intelligence system that uses the crowd of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when automatic algorithms are unsure, otherwise using convolutional neural networks for entity resolution. Dr. Bahrami was PI on Data-Driven Airplane Intent Inferencing (DI)2- where he invented an approach for improving airplane trajectory prediction by using machine learning to create a system that can predict airplane intent based on airplane track data and context. He was chief architect of several software systems such as the Modeling and Simulation Management System. He designed and developed Digital Clinic system one of the early workflow-enabled EMR systems and cofounded Medico System in 2004. He designed and developed the context-aware Modeling and Analysis Tool suite for Healthcare (MATH) with a collaboration of the UW. He is the author of an object-oriented system development textbook, two professional books in AI and computer graphics, over 60 tier 1 journal papers, refereed proceedings and 8 book chapters. He has over 25 years of professional software development experience.
