Highly experienced manager of Quality Assurance and Governance functions in Higher Education. I am responsible for the creation, development and implementation of ESL’s comprehensive Governance, Policy and Compliance System which provides the institution's framework for all policies, ensuring standards, good governance practices and compliance with external regulation. This includes leading on all aspects of the academic QA processes and systems for the enhancement of the student experience such as academic developments, student engagement, and programme and module monitoring. I am also responsible for the institution's governance framework and commitee structure which ensures that effective decisions are being made and communicated at the appropriate level. I am also a good people-person and can balance the requirements for QA and compliance, with the need to ensure that staff are supported in reaching their own endeavours and that of the institution. I am part of the Senior Management Team and am experienced in collaborating with and influencing staff at the highest levels. My skills and experience include: leadership, policy development, project management, OfS registration and compliance, process development, influencing, risk registers, consumer protection law, all QA processes, portfolio development, academic and executive committee servicing, report writing, data analysis, problem solving, and collaborative provision. I have worked in both private and public universities. I have worked with VCs, DVCs, PVCs, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, Academic Managers, Directors of T&L, Registrars, and Governors etc. However, I started working in this industry from the bottom so I can also relate to adminstrators and officers.
