Professional Experience: With 19 years in treasury and financial management, I have driven activities across MEA, South Africa, and other regions, aligning strategies with organization and regulations. I hold an MBA in Finance, CFA certification, AIBP, and ACI Dealing Certification. As Country Treasurer at a leading foreign bank in Pakistan, I oversee EMEA-level responsibilities including Pool, Governance, and Regulatory Implementation, and chair the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO). Previous roles include Head of International Treasuries, Head of Balance Sheet Management, and Chief Dealer at NBP, BoK, BAL, and SCB. Projects and Initiatives: I have led initiatives that drive innovation and optimization, including reducing RWA footprint and optimizing pools’ portfolios across MEA, resulting in reduced funding costs and enhanced efficiency. I spearheaded automation projects and implemented Basel liquidity standards across 15 overseas centers, improving compliance and risk metrics. Additionally, I developed an Overseas Treasury Management Framework and contributed to strategy formulation for 17 countries. My expertise extends to implementing the IRRBB framework and developing a funding framework, resulting in enhanced efficiency through FTP mechanisms. Corporate Trainings: I have designed and conducted corporate training programs tailored to treasury and financial management. Highlights include sessions on Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Interest Rate Risk Management (IRRM), and comprehensive programs on Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk Management (LRM).
