About Ali Kizil

I am a seasoned technologist and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the broadcasting and streaming industry. My journey began as a MATLAB programmer, leading to the development of "MATLAB Server Pages," an open-source project that enabled server-side execution of MATLAB code, cited in numerous academic papers. In 2008, I founded Kizil Electronics, collaborating with international partners to manufacture and distribute over 2 million set-top boxes across LATAM, MENA, and Europe. Recognizing the shift towards OTT, I transitioned to co-found PikoTV in 2014. At PikoTV, we specialize in high-density, modular broadcasting solutions, serving clients like Turkcell TV+, Saran S Sports, Anadolu Agency, and facilitating 4K and 8K broadcasts via Turksat. Beyond broadcasting, I have a keen interest in intellectual property, having established PatentCare, and in emerging technologies, actively participating in the crypto space by running ETH, AVAX, and other nodes. Experiences - PikoTV / Co-Founder & CEO / 2014 – Present / Istanbul, Türkiye Lead the design and development of broadcasting solutions for DVB, IPTV, OTT, and VOD platforms. Oversaw deployments for major clients, including Turkcell TV+, Saran S Sports, and Anadolu Agency. Pioneered the world's first 8K live satellite broadcast in collaboration with Turksat in 2018. Established partnerships with industry leaders like Dell, NVIDIA, and Blackmagic Design.
