About Ali Kucuk

I am a Security Analyst with practical experience in penetration testing support, basic vulnerability checks, and network traffic analysis using Wireshark. I’ve also worked with tools like Nmap and experimented with Metasploit in lab settings. At North American University, I assist IT with account access and incident follow-ups, prepare simple compliance reports, and deliver awareness sessions on phishing and password security. Alongside my technical role, I serve as Chief of Staff, where I coordinate university-wide projects, support committees, and help departments align on priorities. I work with leadership on planning, accreditation, and operations while also encouraging better security practices across faculty and staff. This mix of technical security and leadership experience has shaped my goal to fully transition into cybersecurity. I am currently preparing for CompTIA Security+(SY0-701) and open to SOC Analyst, IT Security, or Incident Response opportunities remote or in Houston, TX. My focus is to help organizations protect their people and systems in practical, measurable ways.
