About Ali Smith

Am excited to be baking at the jem of a bakery at La Montanita Co-op in Santa Fe. We are having to double and triple our normal production amounts due to a steadily growing base of customers who are asking for baked goods made with organic ingredients and who increasingly ask for cookies and muffins sweetened without sugar. We sell out quickly of our maple syrup-and coconut nectar-sweetened cookies and hopefully will be developing some fruit-sweetened muffins coming soon! Am training under the master baker Carlos who can bake anything-from fancy pastries to hearty sourdough bread and bagels. When not at the Co-op, I am a personal wellness chef for clients in Santa Fe, NM and New York City. I enjoy cooking for clients with specific health goals and those that need a fridge full of hearty, home-cooked meals. I have cooked for clients on chemotherapy as well as those who want to transition to a more plant-based way of eating. As a graduate of Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I have studied a variety of dietary approaches and believe in bio-individuality and that there is no single diet for everyone. I work with individuals' and families' needs and often there are several different dietary needs within one family or household. I also do food styling for film and tv shot in NM and have worked on six productions including Manhattan, Graves, The Kid, Godless, and Succession.
