About Alice Brown

My research profile typifies that of an HE L&T researcher. I have a track record in my core discipline and am an acknowledged expert and lead and supervise sustain collaborative national and international research projects about the interplay among early childhood education, health, wellbeing, and social ecology, as well as a substantial track record of scholarship research in the area of online engagement, particularly in HE contexts. I am interested in investigating and better understanding- factors impacting on the learning, development and wellbeing of young children, particularly within early childhood contexts, including the home environment- factors impacting on early childhood professional learning, capacity building and engagement- e-learning models of early childhood education that afford equitable access to vulnerable children; and - methodological approaches that reframe research with young families and engagement of parent voice and input in research. I lead and contribute to collaborative research partnerships, culture, and outputs within three fields of research: scholarship research focussed on computers, technology, and online engagement in higher education (1301 educational systems), research focussed on early childhood, children, and EC professionals (1303 specialist studies in education), and ethical and respectful methodological approaches (1399).
