Background

About Alice Conovitz

I am an environmental scientist who specializes in environmental investigations; water quality evaluations, regulatory compliance; data quality review and assessment; litigation support; and management of complex, time-sensitive projects. I enjoy working with clients and with federal, state, and local agencies on diverse environmental projects. In addition to my strong data analysis background, I have expertise in environmental sample collection, processing, and reporting. I value making data and science accessible to everyone. My experience includes coordinating watershed stakeholder organizations, working with stakeholders to write collaborative watershed management plans, and writing winning proposals for multiple federal and state watershed grants. I also have provided critical technical comments on draft federal guidance and state proposals related to water quality standards revisions, including site-specific standards and incorporation of the copper biotic ligand model.
