About Alice MacLaverty

The truth is, I’d be writing even if I wasn’t paid for it. My passion for putting pen to paper started with keeping a diary when I was a child. I discovered that I could sort through my thoughts and feelings much more easily on the page than in my head. Over time, I started to think about who might eventually find and read my diaries and tailored my writing to entertain them. And then, I discovered psychology. What could be more fascinating than studying the human mind? From learning to understand myself and others around me, to maintaining mental wellbeing and influencing behaviour, studying psychology at university was a gateway to tapping into the human brain. Copywriting combines these passions. Whether I’m helping the NHS with recruitment, enabling skincare brands to spread their not-so-secret beauty secrets or ghostwriting tech articles for Shopify Plus partners, there’s nothing I love more than working out what makes an audience tick and tackling it creatively. And, having both being freelance and working in two successful integrated agencies over my 7-year marketing career, I have a deep understanding of the world of e-commerce and have had the pleasure of working with clients across a huge range of industries. There will always be countless brands out there, looking for the best way to share their passion with their target audience. And I can't wait to get stuck in.
