About Alice McShane

Hello! I’m Alice – a screen programmer born in Tasmania / Lutruwita now living and working in Melbourne / Naarm. As the Conference Programmer for the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC), I’ve curated talks with Academy Award-nominated directors and crafted programs that garnered record-breaking attendance numbers. I’ve helped curate the first two SXSW Sydney iterations across narrative, documentary, shorts and features, I serve on the board of the Melbourne Women in Film Festival, and occasionally chat films on Primal Screen show. My skills include programming festivals to moderating talks; juggling budgets, creative producing, events management, stakeholder liaising, and copy-writing and proofing.
