About Alicia Baca

Outreach professional specializing in East European and Eurasian studies, with a focus on K–14 educational initiatives, professional development, and academic programming. At the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at Ohio State I lead teacher training workshops, develop learning resources, coordinate the Polish Studies Initiative, and organize the annual Midwest Slavic Conference. I also oversee the center’s communications, including digital outreach, newsletters, and social media engagement. With a background in Russian, Humanities, and Nordic Studies (B.A. and M.A, University of Colorado Boulder), I bring a strong foundation in resource development, cross-cultural education, and student support. My work is grounded in inclusive, community-focused engagement and driven by a deep interest in fostering global awareness and understanding through education.
