About Alicia Champlin

With one foot solidly in the tech sector and one established in academic and creative research, I belong in a hybrid, strategic role that capitalizes on my multifaceted experience in process management, design thinking, HCI, and UI/UX innovation. Whether focusing on requirements analysis, user-centered design, or customer success, I am a problem solver, advocate, and mentor who builds relationships, values clear communication, and loves data. I took a big left turn with my career 7 years ago when I left a senior PM role and joined a research-based MFA program to explore interactive art and systems modeling as methodologies for researching communications theory. This academic vector beautifully compliments my digital consulting skills with a deep theoretical grounding in Human Computer Interactions, and UX/UI neuropsychology. I am seeking a full time offer to join a creative digital development team in Barcelona or remote, as well as residencies and academic engagements in the EU, and commission-based installation projects in sound and interaction. I also offer workshops in DIY biofeedback, MaxMSP programming, and Arduino/physical computing.
