About Alif Farhan

They said: simpler life is a pleasure, a joyful experience. Well, I very much agreed with that. I love simple experience, I enjoyed making things simple, either for me, or people around me. When I step into product management, it was far from simple. It was way more complex, a very abstract work, even more abstract than Van Gogh’s works. But, I stepped in anyway. I found this particular role (read: PM) not in a simpler way, too. I was once a Software Engineer, spent many years typing stuff to create a program. And then I slowly glanced at UX, the research, the design thinking, and all their fancy terms. My ideas are always wild when it comes to creating tech-y things that can make people’s life easier. During my college years, I joined some competitions with some of my friends, creating product, unusual product that we were sure it’s cool for people to use. And I enjoyed doing it, a lot. And at last, I found that this role called Product Manager, is my ideal role. The day to day is not *simple* at all. But the thing about creating simple and seamless experience is what am signing up for :D
