About Alima Khoja

I have completed my Bachelor of Architecture and am currently enrolled in the Master of Community Planning program at Vancouver Island University. Holding a Bachelor degree in Architecture, I have gained extensive experience in various projects, including residences, housing, working drawings, institutes, and urban design. My architectural studies have prepared me with a strong base in site analysis, considering factors such as built mass, SWOT analysis, social and economic aspects, land use, road hierarchy, and building typology. My decision to pursue a Master of Community Planning reflects my interest in expanding my knowledge on a wider scale. My academic focus encompasses a comprehensive understanding of land use, environmental considerations, housing strategies, analytical methodologies, community engagement, research and design. Additionally, my personal interest lies in exploring how "biophilic design" can be seamlessly incorporated into surroundings, aiming to create harmonious built environments that prioritize sustainability and the well-being of communities.
