About Alin Shewia

As a Certified Cyber Security professional with over eight years of experience in the field of information technology, I am passionate about creating solutions and safeguards for users and the public. My journey in cybersecurity started when I pursued a three-year Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security at Fanshawe College, which equipped me with extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field. Since then, I have continued to expand and improve my skills, with a focus on mastering skills in operating systems security, network security, network management/analysis, database management, cloud security, risk assessment, and penetration testing. Currently, I am a member of the Global Security Operations Center (SOC) L1 team at Martinrea International, where my responsibilities include mitigating cybersecurity threats and remediating vulnerabilities identified by Rapid7 InsightVM. I also collaborate with other teams to patch security vulnerabilities and contribute to various security projects. Through my experience in this role, I have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of creating a culture of security and its impact on businesses and individuals. I am dedicated to staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques in cybersecurity and am committed to applying my knowledge and skills to help organizations create a safer digital environment.
